About WILLIAMS/SMART/DENNERLEY/GOULD/SEDDON
Please sign in to see more.
Interest in the Williams Family Tree began when the Williams Family Bible that originally belonged to my grandmother Susan Jane Williams (nee Osborne) was brought down to Portsmouth. In the front of the Bible is a Family Register page written by my grandfather William Andrew Williams showing some of the family ancestry that he had researched. The Bible was a gift from my grandfather to his wife Susan Jane. Following visits to the Records Office in Candie Gardens in Guernsey in 2001 and 2002 a lot of additional information was gleaned. However, during the 2002 visit it was discovered that another relative had already undertaken research work some ten years earlier. That relative was Susan Dixon, granddaughter of Elizabeth Fanny Williams who was one of William Andrew Williams older sisters. Contact was made with Susan who lived with her husband Eric in Broadstone, Dorset and a lot of interesting facts, source information and photographs were exchanged. Many thanks to Susan for her considerable contribution to the information held on this website.

This site also covers my late wife Paulette`s family and includes Dennerley, Gould, Kelsall, and Seddon family lineages. There is still a lot of research to be carried out. The family had expressed some curiosity about believed links to Richard John Seddon (former prime minister of New Zealand) and also to James Harold Wilson (former UK prime minister) whose mother was Ethel Seddon. The link to Richard John Seddon has now been established.

Any relatives wishing to contribute details of new family members, photographs, dates or any other information for inclusion on this site are most welcome to contact me. Email: dlsmart@hotmail.co.uk

Hope you enjoy the site. Please remember to sign the Guest Book above.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
